Personality

Gorlois is a shrewd judge of character, and one who has been involved in a petty rivalry with Uther since they were both practically children. Gorlois is less of a warlord than he is a steward, and acted as the chancellor for King Aurelius before his death. Since Uther took the throne, Gorlois has been sidelined and pushed away from the throne while still being expected to bring his sizeable armies to battle at Uther's whims, which irritates Gorlois greatly. He has been the most disloyal vassal in Logres for many years, and a confrontation seemed inevitable until Uther and Gorlois agreed to peace with the aid of Merlin in 489.
