She is the eldest daughter of [[Queen Ygraine]] and [[Duke Gorlois ]] of Cornwall]], and the adopted daughter of [[King Uther Pendragon]]. She is the sister of [[Lady Elaine of Tintagel]] and [[Lady Morgan]], and sister-in-law of [[King Nentres]] of Garloth.

In [[492]], Morgawse was forced to marry King Lot of Lothian to cement an alliance between Logres and the northern kingdoms of Lothian and Garloth. Later that year, she gave birth to her first child, [[Sir Gawaine|Gawaine]].

In [[493]], Morgawse bore her second child, [[Sir Agravain|Agravain]].
