* Rector Aldis - Lead monk and teacher of the more ascetic branch of the clergy of Ezethae. He was a teacher to the Ezethaean princes as they were growing up. His strict discipline chaffed Jaxson greatly and helped shape him into the man he is today.
:He heads the monastery in the northern mountains of the kingdom and the academy in the capital. His teachings are most popular with the merchants and nobility in the kingdom.

* Lady Nareema - Queen Tamia's younger sister. She rules their noble house (as separate from the Crown's holding) in Tamia's name.
