Sir Freydis (Born 464) is a knight of Salisbury, residing at Winterbourne Stoke. She is known far and wide for her incredible size, her prowess in combat, and her overdeveloped sense of vengeance. She was squired in 479, and knighted in 485. She was killed by Saxon poison in 495 at a victory celebration.
Early Life
Sir Freydis was born at Winterbourne Stoke, in Salisbury, to her father ? and her mother ?. She was squired in 479 and trained by Sir Elad of Vagon. She earned his knighthood in 485 after she and her companions dealt successfully with a wild bear which had been terrorizing a village, and some local bandits who tried to waylay the group. The adventure proved formative, and the band eventually took the name The Ursine Brotherhood because of it.
Knighthood
After being knighted in 485, Sir Freydis took over maintenance of Winterbourne Stoke, her ancestral home, and took position as the head of her family upon coming of age.
In many battles, Sir Freydis has shown uncanny ability with the sword, rivaling even Sir Jaradan, the greatest swordsman in Salisbury.
Personal Life
Freydis studiously avoided any romantic entanglements. When it came to naming an heir, she did so by adopting a relative's young girl to succeed her.
