Lt. Brodie is a Starfleet Officer currently serving as Head of Security of the USS Guanyin, under the authority of Captain Ramita Nakarmi.
Early Life
Brodie was hatched and raised on Ohcaycee, a moon of Rigel I. Ohcaycee is one of the first and oldest colonies of the Chelons, due to its proximity to the system's star and the large amount of radiation coming through the moon's atmosphere. Ohcaycee served as a mining colony for several rare metals used in plasma systems. Mining is still a fairly new aspect of Chelon society, owed to their natural resistance to radiation and the efficiency with which they can operate. Existing outside of the Lord/Attendant dynamic that long dominated Chelon culture, miners are viewed as relatively prestigious workers given the broad economic and societal benefits they bring. In addition to being raised in one of the most established colonies, miners also often serve as the negotiators for trade, and have more frequent exposure to the Federation.
