487
In the Summer of 487, the Knights of the Sword traveled with Uther, Ulfius, and Roderick to Lindsey, as part of a diplomatic mission to try and secure the loyalty of Logres's less enthusiastic vassals. Corneus was not at Lincoln when they arrived, and so the group waited, with Uther intimating that he may sack the city if the Duke did not arrive within 5 days. The Knights of the Sword were able to successfully determine that Corneus was on patrol for the Saxons and potentially unreachable, and negotiated for extra time so that they could seek out Duke Corneus and bring him back safely. When the Knights found him, the Duke was engaged in a skirmish with a Saxon warband. Once the battle was won, Corneus went with them back to Lincoln and met with Uther. While initially unimpressed with Uther's pleas, the enchantment of Excalibur took hold and the Duke submitted fully to Uther's command, trusting him finally as the One True King.
