Countess Ellen of Salisbury is the widow of Earl Roderick of Salisbury, and the current Countess of Salisbury. She was desired as a wife by many men, including Sir Blains, Steward of Levcomagus, who still holds a grudge against Roderick for winning her hand in marriage. Ellen has two children, Lady Jenna, and Lord Robert of Salisbury.

Personality

Ellen is a fair-minded, gentle woman. She is confident, intelligent, and a capable administrator. It is rumored that Earl Roderick depended greatly on her counsel.

Important Deeds of Note

In 495, Countess Ellen's husband, Earl Roderick, was killed due to Saxon treachery at the feast of St. Albans. Due to her son's young age, the Countess now rules Salisbury in his stead and will do so until he is old enough to be knighted.
