Uther brought Madoc with him to Britain when he returned with his brother Ambrosius to reconquer their rightful homeland. RecentlyTowards the end of his life, he has had been entrusted more often with the command of large armies in order to defend the realm against Saxon incursions.

Madoc is was not as authoritative as his father, and tends to have more of a scheming nature to himself. He's not villainous or evil, but he is was definitely a political creature and is was well aware of how to play the game to secure the best position for himself. Madoc is was kept close by his father, and is was well-protected and respected as a result. He has a reputation as a playboy, and has been known to have various lovers, seemingly unconcerned with gender. After his death, those closest to him found that much of his playboy image was simply an act that he performed to keep his family safe from Uther's gaze.
