Sir Madoc was born in 452, the consequence of Uther's dalliance with a noble's daughter in Brittany during his exile. Uther brought Madoc with him to Britain when he returned with his brother Ambrosius to reconquer their rightful homeland. RecentlyTowards the end of his life, he has had been entrusted more often with the command of large armies in order to defend the realm against Saxon incursions.
Personality
Madoc is was not as authoritative as his father, and tends to have more of a scheming nature to himself. He's not villainous or evil, but he is was definitely a political creature and is was well aware of how to play the game to secure the best position for himself. Madoc is was kept close by his father, and is was well-protected and respected as a result. He has a reputation as a playboy, and has been known to have various lovers, seemingly unconcerned with gender. After his death, those closest to him found that much of his playboy image was simply an act that he performed to keep his family safe from Uther's gaze.
Important Deeds of Note
The Knights of the Sword encountered a drunken and angry Madoc in the year 490, after a feast celebrating victory in the Battle of Lincoln. Dame Runa befriended the man, listening to him rant about his father and Gorlois, the Duke of Cornwall.
Madoc died fighting Duke Gorlois at the Battle of Terrabil in 491. His death was avenged by the Knights of the Sword and Sir Brastias, who dealt the final blow to Gorlois. Madoc was buried at Stonehenge, next to his uncle Aurelius Ambrosius. A grave for Uther is also kept there, for when the King passes.
Upon his death, Madoc gave Runa a map and asked her one final favor, to keep the crown away from her. The "her" he spoke of was revealed as the Knights rode to the location marked on the map, a small cabin at the border of the Forest Perilous. There they found Madoc's wife and daughter, kept secret from Uther to protect them all these years. Runa took both mother and child in at Wylie, treating the child as her ward.
