The current captain of the Abyssinia is [[J'Sepp Kalach]], and the ship is one of the three main starships of Star Trek: Timequake. In service for nearly a decade as a general explorer and diplomatic envoy, the Abyssinia has recently undergone a major refit in order to prepare the ship for the task of defending Federation space near Deep Space Nine from potential Klingon, Cardassian, and Dominion threats. Armed with the latest offensive and defensive technology, the ship is intended as a bulwark against any and all threats to Federation interests in the area.
