== Early Life ==
Sir Ronan was born at (?)[[Dinton]], in Salisbury, to his father ? and his mother ?. He was squired in 479 and trained by [[Sir Elad of Vagon]]. He earned his knighthood in 485 after he and his companions dealt successfully with a wild bear which had been terrorizing a village, and some local bandits who tried to waylay the group. The adventure proved formative, and the band eventually took the name [[CharactersCharacters_(Pendragon)#The_Ursine_Brotherhood|The Ursine Brotherhood]] because of it.

After being knighted in 485, Sir Ronan had some difficulty in the stewardship of his manor, though his peasants are known to say that, "At least the poor dear is trying..."
