In [[493]], King Heraut met with Earl [[Roderick]] and the Knights of the Sword to discuss terms of an alliance against the Saxons. However this was merely a front, as he was secretly meeting with Saxons as well as northern kings like [[Lot]] of Lothian to create an alliance against Logres. This plot was discovered by the Knights and, with Earl Roderick, they escaped to warn Uther of the betrayal.
