In [[491]], Sir Brastias told the Knights of the Sword the story of how Earl [[Roderick]] married Countess [[Ellen]] against the wishes of her elder brother, Duke [[Ulfius]] and how Silchester was most likely responsible for Dame [[Runa]]'s missing cousin and the scurrilous rumors against Sir [[Alaric]]. Later that year, he dealt the fatal blow to Duke [[Gorlois]] at the Battle of Terrabil.
However in [[492]], Sir Brastias accused the Knights of the Sword of treason, bringing them to trial at Tintagel for the kidnapping of Queen [[Ygraine]]'s newborn baby. The knights were declared innocent, but their relationship with Brastias was damaged.
