In [[490]] she participated in the Battle of Lincoln as one of the commanders, leading the left flank. She fought and defeated [[Eosa]] the Giant.
In [[491]] her husband, Gorlois, was slain in battle and the castle Terrabil was taken by Uther's forces. Ygraine was forced to surrender when Tintagel was surrounded by the armies of Logres and her husband's fate was revealed. Curiously, she was heard protesting that this was not possible, as he was with her at Tintagel the night he was killed.
Later that year, Ygraine was married to Uther and became Queen of Logres. She was noted to be visibly pregnant.
