In [[488]], Prince Madoc led the forces of Logres to Frankland, to make war on behalf of Praetor [[Syagrius]] of Soissons. He took the city of Bayeux and looted it, but then abandoned the Praetor and returned home with the spoils, leaving Syagrius to the mercy of the Franks.
The Knights of the Sword encountered a drunken and angry Madoc in the year [[490]], after a feast celebrating victory in the Battle of Lincoln. Dame [[Runa]] befriended the man, listening to him rant about his father and [[Gorlois]], the Duke of Cornwall.
