'''Sir Galam the Bear''' (Born 464) is a knight of [[LPen:Locations#Salisbury|Salisbury]], residing at [[Schruten]] with his wife, the [[Lady Gwiona]], and his ? children. He is well known for his savage demeanor, skill in combat, and skill at bone carving and axe decorating. He was squired in 479, knighted in 485, and wed in 490.

Sir Galam was born at Schruten, in Salisbury, to his father ? and his mother ?. He was squired in [[479]] and trained by [[Sir Elad of Vagon]]. He earned his knighthood in [[485]] after he and his companions dealt successfully with a wild bear which had been terrorizing a village, and some local bandits who tried to waylay the group. The adventure proved formative, and the band eventually took the name [[LPen:Characters#The_Ursine_Brotherhood|The Ursine Brotherhood]] because of it.
