Sir Galam was born at Schruten, in Salisbury, to his father ? and his mother ?. He was squired in [[479]] and trained by [[Sir Elad of Vagon]]. He earned his knighthood in [[485]] after he and his companions dealt successfully with a wild bear which had been terrorizing a village, and some local bandits who tried to waylay the group. The adventure proved formative, and the band eventually took the name [[LPen:Characters#The_Ursine_Brotherhood|The Ursine Brotherhood]] because of it.
