# There are changes to the Blood War that will be discovered in play.
# There are somewhat related changes to what happens to the souls of the dead:
## If you are a faithful follower of a deity, your soul is sent to their home plane where you are given a place of honor. Read: mid-high level clerics, paladins, druids, and rangers; but also other class or 'civilian' believers who have demonstrated strong faith, leadership, or service for their deity.
## If you at least pay lip service to a deity and your actions do not contradict their teachings (within one step of deity's alignment) and you haven't acted against the deity in another way, your soul is sent to their home plane.
## If no deity will be your patron and you are strongly aligned, your soul is sent to the appropriate Outer Plane where you become a resident of said plane.
