Chronicle of Deeds

  • 485

We slew a fae bear which was ravaging the countryside and I forged a fellowship with my companions. We were all knighted for our deed. I successfully charged the window and leapt out to mount my horse during the knights' hazing ritual. Took the appellation "the bold".

  • 486

I saw the Lady Eladis at court and fell in love with her at first sight. I did go a bit mad over it. I rejoined friends as they were assisting Merlin and slew a giant and a not-a-kelpie-water-horse-monster. We witnessed Merlin retrieving Excalibur from the lake. I helped write and perform the Ballad of Sword Lake for winter court, it's a hit! With Countess Ellen's advice, I approached Lady Eladis directly at winter court, danced with her, and began a courtship.

  • 487

We went to Lincoln with Uther. Duke Lindsay isn't home??? We set out to locate him. Found him in a pitched battle with Saxons. I personally slew the Saxon leader who was attacking Lindsay and took his golden torc as a trophy. We witnessed the Duke's submission to Uther. Performed the Ballad of Sword Lake again. My little sister had a baby! Earl Roderick visited my manor because it's the best one.

  • 488

Flirted with Eladis at winter court and received a silver bracelet as a favor. Went to the continent under Prince Madoc to aid a war. During a siege, saved my future father-in-law in combat. We were first in the gates and displayed excellent leadership in the siege.

  • 489

Duke Gorlois is missing from winter court??? Anyway I asked Eladis to marry me and she said yes! Got drunk with my future father in law. Oh and we marched on Cornwall and saw Gorlois submit to Uther or something, w/e. Had to put a check on my kink passion because of it. Also this year we investigated a town being attacked by a "demon". It turned out to be a redcap fairy which we returned to its home. Participated in a fae feast. My sister had another baby. Eladis and I were wed before winter.

  • 490

We played that damned sword song again at court. Went to Lindsay for war against the Saxons. Sir Oswulf was knighted and joins the team. Much glory was had! I fought Octa personally. Gave his weapon Svartleggja to Uther for some reason. I befriended Prince Madoc after the feast when we found him drunk alone, by talking with him like a person and listening to his woes. Witnessed Gorlois and Ygraine GTFO away from that lech Uther but if anyone asks I didn't see anything. That Oswulf guy is kind of sus though. The magical blizzard does not bode well for the coming year. My sister's younger baby passed.

  • 491

A dark and eventful year. My cousin was kidnapped while out hunting. My friends dueled that stuck up xenophobic knight Sir Lycus while I drank mead and watched with Prince Madoc. I rode out with the crew to rescue our cousins from a jerkass knight Sir Blaines in the next county over. Humiliated them which means surely that is the last we'll see of those knaves. King Uther sent the knights to the battle of Terrabil with Prince Madoc. Madoc was mortally wounded while fighting Duke Gorlois. I held him as he died and am SAD. Before he passed he gave me a map and made me swear "not to let him put a crown on her". I found his secret wife and child and took them into my household, claiming them as cousins needing aid. We had to play the cursed Ballad of Sword Lake yet again at court. Pretending everything is normal is hard when your friend is dead.

Court in Tintagel. We witnessed the court weddings of Ygraine's daughters to northern kings (Lot and the other guy). Then while on patrol, that snake Merlin shows his face and my companions decide to help him. He betrayed us all, and we were tried for treason against the king for "helping Merlin steal Uther's baby". At the trial some of Uther's religious advisors correctly place the blame on Merlin, though their reasoning is suspect. Because of this, our service to the realm, and Roderick putting his honor on the line, we are cleared of all charges. Immediately after, we must needs rush back to Salisbury because Silchester knights are attacking our county! We arrive in time to mount a serious defense at Sir Oswulf's manor at Newton Tony, which was unexpected to our enemies it seems. Thanks to the cunning of Dame Eithne we break their line and I am able to rush through their archers to face Sir Blains directly. In a rare show of honor he agrees to face me personally and his guard stands down. I beat him handily and we capture the remainder of his forces, delivering them to Earl Roderick in Sarum. After utterly humiliating them a second time, surely this is the last we'll see of those knaves. It seems that at some point during the battle Sirs Alaric and Oswulf got a bit carried away and rode into Silchester to take the fight to Ulfius? They got better.

Blaines finally sufficiently beaten to give it up for now. My poor sister Thyri went missing over the winter, so we sent a squadron of our family knights to investigate. Uther has the illest humours and THEN we find out that Octa and Eosa somehow escaped captivity. Who even was guarding them??? Our Earl was ordered to go north to Malahaut and secure an alliance against the saxons, but those Faux-mans were planning to ides of march us!!! We made a daring escape by boat and then south through the forest. Some random band of saxons tried to waylay us but after we fed some to a river they gave up. We made it home with a few hostages and shared the unfortunate news.

  • 494

We went to Lincoln after long court session. Our knights returned having rescued my sister and some other hostages. The kidnappers escaped but they were seen wearing roman armor and one had a roman heraldric shield. What the fuck is with all these romeaboos. We went north to deliver aid to Duke Lindsay and investigate this latest group of rome cosplayers to cross us. Turns out it was that guy we abandoned in Frankland like ten years ago. Oops. After we bested him in combat he revealed his plan of revenge on Madoc. He would not shut up about it so I cuffed him and told him to hold his tongue re: my dead friend. We made it home and received due honor and payment for our deeds stopping this threat to Lorgres' people.
