Uther is was a man of great ambition, and terrible flaws. Strong, cunning, and generous to those who prove themselves worthy, Uther engenders engendered much loyalty in many of his vassals. Still, his jealousy, lust, and foul temper threaten threatened to undo all his great works. Uther is was a somewhat lackluster Christian, and often consults consulted with [[Merlin]], who acts acted as one of the king's chief advisorsuntil Uther exiled the magician following the disappearance of his unnamed son.
== Important Deeds of Note ==
In [[452]] Uther sired his bastard son, [[Madoc|Madoc ap Uther]]. Madoc was legitimized in [[486]], becoming the legal heir of King Uther.
Uther kept [[Gorlois]] and [[Ygraine]] prisoners of courtesy in the year [[490]], refusing to allow them to leave his hospitality. When they finally escaped, Uther promised there would be war for this transgression.
In [[491]], Uther declared war on Gorlois. After the death of the Duke, King Uther married his widow, Ygraine, who is about to give Uther a child. This child will be heir to the throne, following the death of Madoc.
In [[492]], the child was stolen away by Merlin. Merlin has now been exiled from the realm.
Uther has fallen gravely ill as of [[493]], and has stepped back from many duties as a result of his sickness.
Tragically, in [[495]], King Uther was killed under suspicious circumstances at the infamous Feast of St. Albans. He was among those poisoned by the wine, but also sustained stab wounds which were discovered on his corpse.
Uther was buried at Stonehenge, alongside his brother and son.
