==Setting==
TNG era, starting stardate 44380.1, 5-6 months after the Borg attack on Wolf 359. Primarily in a frontier area recently undergoing colonization on the far side of Klingon space.
Primary missions are: ongoing study of odd phenomena (see: anytime in the show when they would drop a probe and get a specialized ship to come in.), study and protection of pre-warp species, support and protection for new colonies, outposts, and research facilities, protecting trade routes, mapping nebulae, and contact and diplomacy with unaffiliated species.
