Edward Cole is a Terran colonist living on Bautista, 25 light years from Earth. He is the leader of the New San Juan colony, a mysterious colony that seems to have come about from nowhere.
Edward Cole is in his sixties, and states he has been on Bautista for about 40 years. He is affable, and a natural leader, but he is also evasive and egotistical.
